Worth the annual subscription

As a first-time buyer, I was looking for the best deal. I opted for the annual billing to get that 20% discount on the Professional Services Contracts feature. The deposit collection and client payment portal are excellent. It felt like a significant investment, but the amount of time I've saved on chasing clients and manual paperwork makes it worth it. I did find navigating the proposal templates initially a bit overwhelming with all the options, but once I got the hang of it, it was great.

Consistent service

This is my third year with Ignition. I signed up again for the annual subscription. The automated billing and proposals are still reliable. It's consistent, which is what I need. No major changes, just keeps working as expected for my accounting practice. Integration with Xero is solid, same as always.

Easy Proposals

Got Ignition for proposals. Setup was quick. Sent out first Advisory Service Proposals in an hour. Payments process smoothly. Only minor thing is the dashboard can feel a bit cluttered.

Good for practice management

I tried Ignition for their Practice Management Integration and it's been mostly positive. The recurring invoicing works well and the Workflow Automation has cut down on some manual tasks. Setting up the multi-currency billing took a little longer than I expected, but it functions fine now. Overall, it's a solid tool, though the initial setup wasn't as intuitive as I hoped it would be.

Good for client onboarding

I was looking for something to make client onboarding smoother. Ignition helped a lot. The engagement letters and proposals feature worked pretty well. My clients signed off way faster than before. It just felt easier all around, saved me some back and forth emails.

Helped with client sign-ups

So I decided to give Ignition a go last month after hearing about it. I needed help with client onboarding, and their E-Signatures for the Professional Services Contracts really sped things up. It was pretty easy to get started, though figuring out all the settings took me a little while. The automated reminders are a neat touch. Overall, it's been a good experience, making my life easier.

Reliable for recurring billing

I've been using Ignition for about a year now, mainly for automated billing and engagement letters. This latest order for some custom Audit Engagement Letters was just as smooth as always. They are consistent, which is why I keep coming back. My Xero Integration has always worked without a hitch. I do wish they'd add more granular reporting to the Business Insights Dashboard sometimes, but it's a minor point.

Hey, anyone know if Ignition does a free trial? Don't wanna commit without trying it out first.

S Sandra Moore 3 weeks ago
Yeah, they totally do. I signed up for a 14-day one last month, no credit card needed for that part.

J James Thompson 2 weeks ago
Can confirm, 14 days is standard. Enough time to get a feel for it.

Anyone know if there are always discounts for annual subscriptions? Trying to budget for the year ahead.

M Michael Parker 3 weeks ago
From what I remember, annual billing usually gets you a decent discount, like 20% off the monthly price. It's usually just an option you pick at checkout.

Yeah, they push the annual quite a bit. I think it's always an option to save some cash. Also keep an eye out for partner deals, sometimes your accounting software integration partner might have something too.

Thinking of switching to Ignition from PandaDoc. For those who've used both, how does the proposal creation compare? Is it less clunky?

M Michelle Flores 1 month ago
I found Ignition's proposal side way smoother. Especially with the engagement letters built right in, it felt more purpose-built for services stuff than PandaDoc.

Honestly, it's pretty good. The templates are solid and customizing them is easy. I haven't used PandaDoc specifically but I heard Ignition is more geared towards actual service businesses.

Does Ignition offer a free trial? Don't want to commit without trying it out first for my small practice.

N Nick 1 month ago
Yep, 14 days free. You can poke around and see if it fits before you pay for anything.

They definitely have a 14-day trial. Enough time to get a feel for the proposal templates and automated billing. I used it to send out a few real proposals to see how clients reacted.

I'm looking at Ignition but also GoProposal. Anyone used both and can tell me the main differences? Mostly concerned with proposal customization and client experience.

S Sean Smith 1 month ago
I moved from GoProposal to Ignition. Ignition feels more integrated with the whole client lifecycle, especially with the payments and automated billing. GoProposal was good for just proposals, but Ignition does more. Customization is pretty solid on both, but I found Ignition's e-sign and payment collection smoother.

GoProposal is good for pretty proposals, but Ignition's strength is definitely tying everything together from proposal to recurring payments. If you need that full automation, Ignition probably wins.

Just curious about the security for client payments. Is it legit for handling sensitive financial info?

G Grace M. 3 weeks ago
They're pretty upfront about being secure. It's an industry standard setup, like SSL and stuff. I haven't had any issues or client complaints about security.
3
S Sofia Green 3 weeks ago
Yeah, I wouldn't worry about it. They handle a ton of financial professionals, so they gotta be tight on security. My understanding is they use secure gateways for payments, so your client info isn't just floating around.

Are there any good discounts floating around for Ignition? Trying to sign up and wanna snag a deal.

P Patricia 1 month ago
Usually, the best deal is just going for the annual plan. You save a good chunk, like 20% compared to monthly. Sometimes there are partner deals too if you're linked with Xero or something.

E Ella 1 month ago
I got a referral credit once, so those pop up sometimes. But yeah, annual billing is the consistent one.

Hey everyone, thinking about switching to Ignition for my accounting firm. How's the integration with QuickBooks Online? Is it smooth or a headache to set up?

J James Campbell 1 month ago
Mine was pretty straightforward. Just follow the steps in their guide, it synced up my client list and existing invoices without too much fuss. Definitely a time-saver once it's rolling.

M Michelle Flores 1 month ago
Yeah, it's decent. I had a couple of minor hiccups with historical data, but support was quick to help. Much better than some other platforms I've tried, doesn't feel like a clunky add-on.
